Nursing is one of the better paying occupations in the world during the last years. The salaries and benefits for nurses diverge according to geographic location, type of specialty, type of work you do, years of experience and grade of education. These are some aspects that influence in the salaries.

Typical salaries:


Practitioner Nurse 20,510 - 25,690
Clinical Manager 23,160 - 30,990
Health Care Manager 31,270 - 38,040


LPNs could earn $35,000 to $40,000 per year. For registered nurses earn $40,000 to $60,000 per year. Apart from that, they obtain additional pay for evening shifts, night shifts and weekend shifts, which are as follows:


Evening shifts $1.30/hour
Night shifts $1.55/hour
Weekend shifts $1.75/hour
Standby $3.20/hour


Many employers offer flexible work schedules (full-time, part-time, and casual), child care, health insurance, vacation, holiday pay, educational benefits, pension plans and bonuses. In addition to salary, opportunity, and job security, there are lots of other reasons to becoming a nurse.

Note:
Clinical Nurse Specialists and nurses with advanced degrees earn noticeably higher salaries.
