YOUR LIFE AS A VN
A Vocational Nurse (VN), working with Registered Nurses (RNs) and doctors is a vital member of the health maintenance team at hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, convalescent facilities, and even private homes. Working directly with patients, a VN is responsible for a wide range of duties, including giving injections, taking vital signs, performing basic diagnostic tests, dressing wounds, and administering medications. The VN provides direct client care under the supervision of an RN, mostly in the areas of therapeutic and preventative measures, as well as patient assessment and evaluation. The Vocational Nurse has a highly demanding job - one that Stanbridge will prepare you well for.

COMPLIMENTARY INTRO TO NURSING COURSE
Stanbridge students complete a comprehensive hands-on Introduction to Nursing course prior to beginning their program. This course was conceived by our instructors who believe that medical terminology and hands-on nursing fundamentals review prior to the start of the Vocational Nurse program increases the preparation level and self-confidence of our students.
LAPTOP WITH 3d ANATOMY & NCLEX EXAM PREP SOFTWARE
Now more than ever, employers want their nurses to be technology savvy. Students at Stanbridge are provided with a personal laptop with 3D Anatomy software and over 3000 NCLEX practice questions, theirs to keep. The laptop can be used for homework assignments, Internet research, and Online Library access.
PDA WITH DRUG GUIDE
In addition to a laptop, students are provided with a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) with Drug Guide software, theirs to keep. This is an excellent resource during clinical rotations. The PDA acts as an instant guide to medication dosages, drug interactions and contraindications - information vital to nursing students as they participate in their clinical rotations and throughout their training.
PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL LAB FACILITY
We provide our students with the most up-to-date supplies, hybrid simulation mannequins and advanced equipment in our Nursing Skills Lab. We aim to make our Nursing Skills Lab one of the most realistic available.
MULTI-TERM NCLEX PREPARATION
Stanbridge is dedicated to your successful licensure as a LVN. Our program includes cumulative review and exit exams in terms 1, 2, and 3 followed by comprehensive term 4 NCLEX preparation, diagnostic testing and licensure preparation session with multiple nationally normed diagnostic exams. Preparation continues after graduation with in school reviews/tutoring and online/CD based practice exams while waiting for board authorization to test. The NCLEX preparation is provided at no additional charge to our students. Stanbridge College additionally pays for the state licensure fees upon students meeting the school requirements for testing.
