University of West Florida (School for Allied Health and Life Sciences)
Welcome to the Nursing Department at the University of West Florida! The Nursing progam is a part of the School for Allied Health and Life Sciences (SAHLS) and is currentl housed in the towers at West Florida Hospital. Here you will find dedicated staff and faculty that will advise and assist you every step of the way in your program - from the application process, through your theory and clinical classes and in your final preparation for the NCLEX licensure exam. What makes our program unique? We only admit 40 students once a year. That means you will be part of a small, select group working closely with faculty that follow you through that year with dedicated personal attention. Clinical groups are team taught with access to two or three faculty members for most classes. We are very proud to say that the UWF Nursing Program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the pass rate of our students taking the NCLEX is one of the highest in the state of Florida. |
