It is based on the belief that the profession of nursing is a primary force in the improvement of the human condition. The faculty accepts the responsibility to create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning and growth through the achievement of academic excellence within the framework of a liberal arts education. The faculty believes that broadly educated individuals apply knowledge through critical inquiry and critical appraisal, adapt to change, and are culturally competent.
