Drexel University (College of Nursing and Health Professions)

Drexel University (College of Nursing and Health Professions) Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions has a national reputation as a leader in nursing education, drawing on its 130-year legacy of educating nurses for successful careers. Its origins go back to the former Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania (est. in 1864) and the Hahnemann Hospital Training School for Nurses (est. in 1890). Although the tools that nurses use have evolved over time, the values of competence, caring, quality, and excellence in patient care that were foundations of nursing practice have endured. At Drexel, we continue to embrace these values within a curriculum framework that provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful as professional nurses in today’s rapidly changing increasingly technological and evidence-driven healthcare environment.

We have designed three distinct baccalaureate nursing programs that can meet your individual needs. The Co-operative (Co-op) BSN Program is a generic nursing program to prepare graduates for licensure as Registered Nurses. The Accelerated Career Entry (ACE) BSN Program allows students who have already earned a bachelors degree in another field to change careers and become Registered Nurses. The RN/BSN Completion Program allows Registered Nurses the opportunity to advance their education and earn a bachelors degree in nursing.
