Maric College

With locations across California, Maric College is dedicated to providing quality programs that integrate the curriculum with professional skill development. Through this approach, students are empowered to achieve their lifelong personal and professional goals.

The tradition of excellence began in 1987 when Educational Medical, Inc., purchased three well-respected Maric Colleges—a group of career colleges offering training in the allied health fields—in Southern California. In 1998, Educational Medical, Inc., changed its name to Quest Education Corporation to better reflect the diversity of programs within the 30 schools operating in 11 states. In August of 2000, Quest Education Corporation was purchased by Kaplan, Inc., a division of The Washington Post Company. Quest Education Corporation changed its name to Kaplan Higher Education Corporation in 2002.

If you are interested in training to work as an integral part of a medical team, Maric College's vocational nursing program is a great place to start. More than ever, doctors' offices, clinics, and hospitals are in need of professionals trained in patient medical care. Turn your desire to help others and achieve a successful career for yourself into reality at Maric College. The vocational nursing program offers the professional skills and knowledge you need to pursue a career in nursing.

With an aging population, the need for trained nursing assistants has never been greater. In fact, many patients spend more time with nursing assistants than any other health care worker. A career as a nursing assistant can lead to numerous opportunities and benefits including a rewarding job, career advancement, and job satisfaction. If you want to have a chance to obtain these opportunities, a diploma from Maric College's nursing assistant program is the right place to start.

Our program will prepare you to provide basic patient daily living assistance with activities such as dressing, eating, and bathing. You will be trained in direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed vocational or registered nurse. The training focus prepares you to care for patients in long term care, assisted living, subacute care, rehab, and acute care facilities.

Our program, along with completion of the Department of Health Services approved curriculum training hours, helps prepare you to take the NATAP (Nurse Assistant Training and Assessment Program) examination. Upon passing the written and practical examination and receiving a criminal background clearance, graduates will receive a Certified Nursing Assistant card and number from the Department of Health Services, Aide and Technician Certification Section (ATCS), in Sacramento, California.*
